Precision Automotive Repair

Took our Audi Q8 in for an OIL CHANGE at 8am. Checked my cars status thru the Audi App at 224 and it’s at Sonny’s BBQ on Zebulon road. When asked about it he said “I am being tracked now?? I went and “washed the motor off” and grabbed me something to eat”. Wasn’t remorseful at all just a little uncomfortable because he got caught joyriding in my car. As if it was not a big deal. I have screenshots with timestamps showing where and when my car was. Will NEVER use his services again because of this. This was our 2nd time using his services, first time it was great. It’s the audacity he had tho that will never get my business again. Also to add the oil change costs us $330.

It has been difficult to find a local diagnostic and repair shop for my Mini Cooper, so I'm thrilled to have found Precision Automotive Repair. The owner (Gary?) is knowledgeable, honest, experienced, and very skilled. Highly recommended!

We took our VW Atlas here after a botched rear electronic brake repair job. "FINALLY! AN HONEST REPAIR SHOP" is the shops motto. Never a truer statement! From beginning to end, the owner was upfront, honest, the cost was reasonable and he gave us advice on how to keep our vehicle running a long time. He fixed a major repair that other shops wouldn't touch. Having a foreign vehicle is an investment, it really helps having a repair shop you can trust. Thank you so much!!

I called Precision Automotive Repair about my 2016 Range Rover Evoque and was stunned at how unprofessional the owner was. When I mentioned that I already had my own parts, he hung up on me without explanation. When I called back, instead of apologizing, he dismissed me and said he “didn’t do the website” — even though his homepage literally shows a Range Rover Evoque. In hindsight, he should at least be familiar with what his own business is advertising. When I asked for a quote using his parts instead, he acted like I was inconveniencing him and made it clear he didn’t want my business. He even told me, in a sarcastic tone, that if I was shopping around for a cheaper quote, “good luck.” A shop that claims to be “Finally an honest repair shop” should live up to its own marketing. Then again, I’m assuming he didn’t realize that slogan was on his website either. My experience was the opposite of honest — it was honestly rude.

I drive a 2002 C320 WAGON with 244,000+ miles. I was in immediate need of an experienced mechanic for my car. A towing company recommended his business to me. He went over my car thoroughly and kept me informed about all the critical issues he came across. Diagnostics, Repairs and Routine maintenance was done and I am super happy I have a mechanic to get my car to 500,000 miles, God willing. The cost was reasonable, considering all the items addressed. Knowledge, experience and quality doesn't come cheap. Thank you Gary Thistlewood! FYI:Harmonic Balancer he replaced, among other things.
